American Carter Whitt (190-G-2002) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Franklin Bulls and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 23-year old guard got a double-double of 26 points and 13 assists, while his team edged out Rams (#3, 3-1) 103-99. Bulls is placed at 8th position in New Zealand NBL. Bulls is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-2 record. In the team's last game Whitt had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He just recently signed at Bulls, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Belmont University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Whitt is in league's top in assists (2nd best: 10.3apg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international guard Taylor Britt (188-G-1996) of Canterbury Rams. Britt impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 32 points and 12 assists. Bad luck as Rams was edged by Bulls (1-2) 103-99. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Britt is one of the most experienced players at Rams and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.5ppg (#5). The third best performed player last round was Liam Judd (196-F-2001) of Nelson Giants (#7). Judd got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He went also for five rebounds . He was a key player of Giants, leading his team to a 97-95 win against Saints (1-2). The chances of Giants not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victory.
